Londonderry Country Club – Londonderry, NH

One of the things I like most about traveling to different golf courses are the little bits history and culture I learn along the way.   This week,  while at Londonderry Country Club,  I was able to hang out in one of the oldest barns in the state.  It was gorgeous.

Londonderry Country Club –  One of the oldest barns in the state.  built ca. 1900.

So was the golf course.

The natural habitats,  wetlands,  and old stone features in the landscaping of this course made me feel like I was walking around New England over a hundred years ago.

The staff at Londonderry Country Club did a great job making us feel welcome and getting us right out on the course.  Shortly after everyone arrived,  we all teed off for a pleasant,  mid-afternoon round of golf.  It rained a bit on the first hole,  but after that,  we couldn’t have asked for a better day.

I loved this course.  It’s a short,  18 hole executive golf course designed to make you use every club in your bag!   Having only par 3’s and par 4’s,  this course is about skill and accuracy over distance.  As a woman golfer,   it was refreshing to be able to watch Liz play competitively with the guys from many of the same tee boxes.  That doesn’t happen very often in golf!

I enjoyed our day at Londonderry Country Club.  The old world charm of the clubhouse barn and the unique layout of the course made this outing feel like vintage golf at its best.  I’d love to come back and play a round with Matt  –  then relax by the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa.

Thank you Liz,  Rob,  and Rick for joining us!  And Thank you Londonderry Country Club for a lovely day on the course.
